The F.I.C.B. (World Wine Federation) -sponsored International Convention of Wine Brotherhoods F.I.C.B. 2023, to which the Knights of the Vine of Japan belongs, will be held from May 27th to 31st, 2023 (June 3rd if participating in the Extension Program) in Portugal. It will be held mainly in the city of Oporto.
The International Congress are held once every two years, but the 2020 competition in Alba, Italy was postponed to 2021 due to the influence of the new Corona, but it was canceled.
Members of 143 Wine Knights from 37 countries around the world will participate in the next Inernational Congress in Portugal.
The tour begins with a welcome dinner, a visit to a winery in the Vinho Verde area, a parade wearing a knightly gown, a cruise on the Douro River to the city of Douro, and a welcome ceremony gala dinner hosted by the Knights of Portugal also participate mainly from officers, but we are eligible to participate.
